Terms of service

1. Who we are

These terms are an agreement between you and ReelDone ("we", "us"), of 3801 West Temple Avenue, Pomona, CA 91768. You can reach us at support@reeldone.app. By making an account or paying for a plan, you agree to them.

2. The service

You upload your footage, your script, the brand's brief and, if you like, music. Our software, which uses AI models including Anthropic's Claude, picks the takes, cuts them, adds captions and the hook and call to action from the brief, checks the reel against the brief, and delivers a finished reel and a copy without text.

The reel is made by software. Watch it before you post or send it. We point out what doesn't seem to match the brief, but we can't promise a brand will approve a reel, or that it will get any number of views, sales or deals.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 18 to make an account.
• You sign in with a code we email you. Keep access to that email safe: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
• An account is for one creator. If you make reels for a team, contact us about a team plan.
• You're responsible for what happens in your account.

4. Plans and reels

• Each plan gives you a number of reels a month: Standard 75, and Premium 150 once it opens. Yearly plans get the same number each month.
• A Reel Pack is 15 reels you pay for once (Reel Pack 15). Its reels last 60 days from when you buy it, and unused ones end then. A plan's reels are used first, then pack reels, the soonest to end first.
• You can buy one Reel Pack every 30 days. Packs from a promo or partner code, and reels we add by hand, don't count towards that.
• Reel Pack 30 is no longer sold. A Reel Pack 30 bought before keeps its reels until the end date it was sold with.
• Your reels reset each month on the day your plan started. Reels you don't use don't roll over to the next month.
• A reel counts when you press Make and it's delivered. A reel that fails to make doesn't count, and you can try it again from the same uploads for 7 days. Deleting a delivered reel doesn't give it back.
• Reels from a promo code must be used by the date the code gives. One promo code per account.

5. When reels are ready

• Standard: 15 minutes after you press Make.
• Reels from a Reel Pack: within 24 hours after you press Make.
• Revisions come back right away.

These are the times we work to, not guarantees. A reel can take longer when the service is busy or a file needs more work, and we'll say so on the reel's page.

6. Revisions

Each reel comes with 2 revisions, which you can ask for within 7 days of pressing Make. A revision changes the edit of the footage you uploaded. It can't add footage, lines or music that aren't there.

7. Payment, auto-renewal and cancellation

• Payments are taken by card through Stripe, in US dollars. No sales tax is added at checkout. US billing addresses only, for now.
• Your plan renews automatically, every month or every year depending on how you pay, and your card is charged at each renewal until you cancel. We say so beside every pay button.
• A Reel Pack is one payment. It doesn't renew, and nothing more is charged for it.
• You can cancel any time from your account page. Your plan keeps working until the end of the month or year you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• If you move to a bigger plan, we charge the difference for the rest of the current billing period straight away.
• The Founding 20 price is for the first 20 users who start a plan: $199 a month on Annual or $259 a month on Monthly instead of $249 or $329. It stays on every renewal for as long as you stay subscribed, ends if you cancel, and isn't on Reel Packs.
• If you start Standard within 60 days of buying a Reel Pack, the price of that pack comes off your first Standard month.
• If we change a price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal.
• If a payment fails, Stripe tries again. Your plan stops if the payment still hasn't gone through.

8. Refunds: the 7-day money-back guarantee

Our pricing page calls it the 7-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Here is what it covers. You can get a full refund within 7 days of your first payment for a plan, or of buying a Reel Pack, as long as fewer than 5 reels have been made from that purchase. From the 5th reel on, refunds are at our discretion. No partial refunds. A yearly plan you cancel keeps working to the end of its year. The refunds page says how to ask.

9. Your footage, your music and the people in them

• You keep every right you have in your footage, script, brief, music and the reels we make from them.
• You let us store, process and edit them only to make your reels, deliver them and run the service. We don't use your footage to train AI models.
• Music. By uploading an mp3 you confirm you hold the rights to use it in the reel and wherever you post the reel.
• Footage and people. By uploading footage you confirm you hold the rights to it, and that everyone who can be seen or heard in it agreed to be filmed, edited and posted. For anyone under 18, that means their parent or guardian agreed.
• You're responsible for following the brand's rules and the platform's, including labelling paid posts as ads.
• If someone claims a reel breaks their rights because of what you uploaded, you'll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with that claim.

10. Acceptable use

Don't use the service to:

• make anything illegal, or anything sexual involving a minor;
• use footage, music or a likeness you don't have the rights to;
• make a reel that pretends to be someone without their consent, or that deceives people about who is speaking;
• harass, threaten or spread hate about anyone;
• overload, probe or try to break the service, or get around its limits;
• share your account, or resell access to it.

We may stop a reel, or pause or close an account, that breaks these rules.

To report a reel that uses someone's footage, music or likeness without the rights to it, email support@reeldone.app with a link to the reel: we'll remove a reel that breaks these rules and may close the account that made it.

11. How long we keep your files

Raw footage is deleted 7 days after you make the reel. Finished reels are kept for 90 days. Download anything you want to keep. The privacy page has the details.

12. Liability

The service is provided as it is and as available. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for lost profits, lost deals or brand relationships, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits a liability the law doesn't let us limit.

13. Ending

You can cancel your plan any time and ask us to close your account by emailing support@reeldone.app. We may close an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why.

14. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you before the change applies. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.

15. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA.
